An innovative solo chanteuse whose strong and sensual dancefloor electro is a template for memorable streamlined pop hooks, Kubalove, AKA Anna Jackson, began her musical apprenticeship with select London acts dabbling in styles from post-rock to indie-electro.

Her first forays into solo work culminated in the singles ‘Dangerous’ and ‘All I Want’, the latter, which was chosen for Richer Sounds’ Unsigned Playlist in collaboration with Q magazine, was accompanied by a video directed by LA-based Susie Francis (Bob Dylan, Cut Copy, Tame Impala).

The authority and immediacy of Kubalove’s sound, which comes on like a mash-up of Grimes and Santigold, or Chvrches crossed with Goldfrapp, has led to it being used for several advertising campaigns, online videos and theme tunes. Having honed her art on stage and in studios, Kubalove’s explosive new material is now set to provide the application of spark to fuse in her nailed-on commercial upsurge.
